Application of Discontinuous Galerkin Scheme to Batch Crystallization Models

Abstract: A discontinuous Galerkin finite element method is proposed for solving batch crystallization models. The suggested method has the capability of capturing sharp discontinuities and narrow peaks of the crystal size distribution (CSD).
