Application of formal safety assessment methodology on traffic risks in coastal waters & harbors

Abstract: Formal safety assessment (FSA) is a systematic formal and integrated assessment approach and has various applications to many fields. In this paper, FSA methodology is applied to traffic risk assessment in Fujian coastal waters and harbors, among of which traffic risks are quantified by means of concept of relative risks.
