Application of Grey-TOPSIS approach to evaluate value chain performance of tea processing chains

Abstract: This study develops an effective method to measure value chain performance and rank them based on qualitative criteria and to determine the ranking order of the various forms of performance under study. This approach integrates the advantage of grey systems theory and TOPSIS to evaluate and rank value chain performance. Grey-TOPSIS approach has been applied to measure and rank the value chain performance of various firms. The results indicate that the proposed model is useful to facilitate multi-criteria decis… Show more

“…e authors of [7] developed GTOPSIS as an effective technique for measuring and ranking value chain performance and ranking using quantitative criteria and determining the ranking order of different firms' performance. Moreover, researchers have established the GTOPSIS method as valuable for enabling MCDM under vagueness and uncertainty [7]. us, GTOPSIS is well-suited to group decision-making problems in an uncertain environment.…”

“…Therefore, it is better to acquire the optimal process scheme for the optimal surface integrity through using the TOPSIS method improved by GRA. It has been successfully applied to risk assessment and prioritization [24], value chain performance evaluation [25], supplier selection and other fields [26,27]. But it should be noted that the methods, including TOPSIS and GRA, can only provide ideal optimization scheme from the defined schemes.…”
