Application of the (G′/G)-expansion method to nonlinear blood flow in large vessels

Abstract: The (G ′ /G)-expansion method is applied to the one-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations that usually model blood flow in large vessels. A nonlinear stress-strain condition is applied and different types of travelling waves solutions are found. The shape of the pressure of blood waves and their biological implications are discussed.
