A single reference point (SRP) is typically employed in traditional studies on the multi-attribute decision making (MADM) method. However, SRP lacks the advantage of the multiplicity of reference points and is thus unable to adequately describe loss aversion actions. With the goal of determining the loss aversion characteristics of decision makers, this work proposes an MADM method that is based on double reference points (DRPs) to solve the MADM problem using crisp and interval fuzzy numbers. First, this work describes the universality of decision-making problems with DRPs and then evaluates the characteristics of DRPs and their effects on decision making. Second, attitude and utility functions are established on the basis of the requirements of loss aversion. Third, considering the ''one-vote veto'' characteristic of a ''dissatisfaction'' attitude, a binary utility value is created by integrating the occurrence probability p, and the utility value u. The fourth, the main characteristics of and the aggregation method for the binary utility value are analyzed and established. Finally, a new decision-making method is applied to resolve the location decision of an agricultural product logistics center. Results indicate that the relationship between attribute and reference point significantly influences decision behavior. Compared with the traditional decision-making method, the proposed decision-making method can effectively identify the feasibility levels of alternatives. The ranking of the proposed decision-making method for feasible alternatives is basically the same as that of the traditional decision-making method. These results can effectively help solve agricultural engineering problems and broaden the coverage of and provide references for MADM research. Modified PROMETHEE Approach for Solving Multi-Criteria Location Problems with Complex Criteria Functions

The specific problem that occurs in multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) processes is ranking a number of alternatives using complex criteria functions (the hierarchical structure of criteria) whose values must consider the impacts of all-important characteristics and parameters of alternatives. The problem becomes more complex by increasing the number of levels of sub-criteria functions (degree of decomposition). This paper proposes an extended procedure based on the mean values conversion of the net outranking flow of sub-criterion functions obtained by modified PROMETHEE methods. The actual value of criterion functions is used only at the last level, and transformed values of the net outranking flow for generating a final rank of alternatives are introduced at other levels. This procedure provides a more objective comparison of the impact of various individual criteria to rank the alternatives and easier making of unique solution, where the impact of decision-maker (DM) experience and subjective estimation is minimised in the selection. Applicability and practicability of the presented procedure for solving the selection problem of a logistics warehouse location are demonstrated in the analysis of a case study example.

The demand planning is one of the most frequented topics in logistics planning within the supply chain management. The prediction of future demand is a very important phase in the enterprise resource planning in point of view of supporting other planning functions (e.g. production planning, material requirements planning etc.). The statistical forecasting is the first step in this very complex process. The effectiveness of the traditional forecasting methods is very variable in the real economic environment. The dyadic harmonic analysis is a new stream and alternative solution to recognize and understand the behavior of the economical time series.
