“…Because of this, the counseling of diverse populations, multicultural counseling, and multicultural supervision operate as major developmental movements within the counseling profession (Comas‐Diaz, ; Sue & Sue, ). While these ideological movements continue to advance the profession, an additional movement on social justice has been integrated into both the competencies and orientation of the profession (Bemak & Chung, ; Chang, Crethar, & Ratts, ; Singh et al, ).
