Abstract: As semiconductor production processes continue to advance, CMOS image sensors are becoming increasingly popular and are gradually replacing traditional CCD sensors as the mainstream option in the market. “…CMOS sensors, on the other hand, are characterized by low power consumption and fast readout, and are less expensive to manufacture; although they tend to be noisier than CCDs, recent technological innovations have significantly improved image quality. In this study, since flexibility is not necessary for smell sensing, CMOS was selected because of its advantage in low power consumption [22,23]. The advantage of temporal resolution is also expected to play an important role in the detection of actual natural convection, which is the outlook of this study.…”
