Appraisal Keberlanjutan Multidimensi Penggunaan Lahan Untuk Sawah Di Karawang - Jawa Barat

Abstract: Indonesian national food sovereignty is very dependent on the supply of rice from paddy fields in Java Island. Various factors influence the farmer's decision to continue using his farm. This study aims to analyze the sustainable use of paddy field, determinant factors and strategies for improving sustainability. The study was conducted in Karawang Regency, one of the centers of rice production in West Java. The methodology used is a multi-dimensional scaling (MDS) using 43 attributes of 5 dimensions (ecologic… Show more

“…faktor yang menyebabkan peningkatan produktivitas, antara lain penerapan teknologi (pupuk, insektisida, bibit unggul dan lain-lain), ditambah dengan kondisi perbaikan faktor sosial pertanian seperti bimbingan ke petani dan kelompok tani dan lain-lain (Widiatmaka et al, 2015). Nilai indeks pertanaman yang relatif konstan menunjukkan bahwa upaya perbaikan irigasi misalnya, belum banyak dilakukan.…”

“…The difference between the two is relatively small (0.44 or 0.92%), less than 5.00%. In other words, the level of confidence in the resulting sustainability index is more than 95.00% This means that the resulting MDS analysis model is adequate (Widiatmaka et al, 2015), in this study, it means that it is sufficient to estimate the sustainability of the DKI Jakarta's ABPD spending. The Comparison of the MDS analysis with the Monte Carlo analysis is described in Table 6.…”

“…The ordination reduces the F x A matrix of forest units (F) and attributes (A) to generate F x 2-dimensional space that indicates sustainability status index of each forest unit with a scale of 0% (bad) to-100% (good) (Cisse et al 2014). Sustainability index is expressed from score of 0% (lowest sustainability) to 100% (best sustainability) and for more detailed uses, it was grouped into four equal category ranges, namely, 0-25.0% (poor sustainable), 25.1-50.0% (less sustainable), 50.1-75.0% (quite sustainable), and 75.1-100% (very sustainable) (Susilo 2005;Kholil and Puspadewi 2014;Widiatmaka et al 2015). The comparison of sustainability among the dimension for each unit of analysis can be visualized through a kite diagram.…”
