Approaches to developing the design code as part of the modern city improvement standard

Abstract

Abstract. The article considers methodological approaches to solving complex environmental problems which play a significant role in formation of the authentic image of the city, the mentality of its citizens, as well as in improving the consumer qualities of the city's depressed areas. The novelty of the author's approach is manifested in interdisciplinary consideration of the problems, in understanding of urban space formation as a system of interacting and intersecting social, economic, urban, and natural ecological function fields, forming together the physical space of the city, which, in turn, is presented by a variety of environments with individual characteristics. The development of the modern standard of area improvement is perceived by the author through the implementation of the main provisions of the city environmental land register that could provide a solution to a broad range of environmental problems.
