“…Furthermore, it should be mentioned that rural systems and older adult population are typically reluctant to change, making the process more difficult ( 11 ). In some nations, the lack of computer or digital health literacy was identified as the biggest obstacle to the use of telemedicine ( 23 , 24 ), so it is possible to expect similar problems in Italy, as it is still below the mean European threshold for digital skills ( 22 ).
