‘Appropriating’ technology? Tractor owners, brokers, artisans and farmers in rural Bangladesh

Abstract: Although tractors have long been regarded by policy makers in Bangladesh as being technologically 'inappropriate' to local conditions, they have nevertheless been in use in Comilla district for several decades.
