“…The Asturian Leonese mines do as well, but the WALZ is rejected as a possible source region as its deposits were exploited only before the first millennium BC, during the Chalcolithic (Copper Age) and Late Bronze Age (De Blas Cortina, 2008:748-749;De Blas Cortina and Suárez Fernández, 2010;Huelga-Suarez et al, 2014a:93-94;Martínez Villa, 2011:60-65). Another mine that has an isotopic field with values above 19 is Mina de la Turquesa (Mas de les Moreres, Priorat) in the northeast (Montero Ruiz, 2018b); again, however, there is no evidence of extraction there in the early Iron Age, although minor extraction of copper in the Priorat area has been proposed recently (Rafel et al, 2021).…”
