Arbitrary amplitude dust acoustic solitary waves in an electron-depleted dusty plasma with two high energy-tail ion distributions

Abstract: Arbitrary amplitude dust acoustic waves (DAW's) in two high energy-tail ion distributions are investigated. The electron number density has been assumed sufficiently depleted during the charging of the dust grains, on account of the attachment of the background plasma electrons on the surface of the dust grains. Our results reveal that under certain conditions, DA solitary waves with either negative or positive potential may be admitted. The high degree of suprathermalization of the relatively low temperature … Show more

“…Subsequently, these waves have been observed in laboratory experiments [2]. Moreover, during the last few decades, DA waves have been investigated by a number of authors [3][4][5][6]. Much research has been conducted in the field of solitons in plasmas that have two-temperature electrons (trapped and isothermal), both in uniform and nonuniform plasmas, in addition to plasmas that have twotemperature ions [7][8][9][10][11][12].…”

“…Over the past many years, a number of authors have studied the basic properties of DA waves in dusty plasmas . There are different types of coherent linear and nonlinear wave structures in a dusty plasma system, such as solitons, double layers, shocks, vortices etc .…”

“…[15][16][17][18] Ion-acoustic solitary waves (IASWs) in the presence of hot ions in unmagnetized electron-ion plasmas have also been investigated. [19][20][21][22][23] Mahmood and Saleem 24 studied the electrostatic solitary structures in unmagnetized plasmas in the presence of cold and adiabatically heated ions. Kalita and Bujarbarua 25 studied the large-amplitude ion acoustic solitons in a warm ions magnetoplasma with isothermal electrons.…”
