Archaeology of Santa Marta, Colombia; the Tairona culture

Abstract: is now a large straggling town on the flat, sandy, arid coast, on the east shore of the Cienaga Grande. There was an Indian settlement there up to the middle of the eighteenth century. Now all surface indications are destroyed.
