Abstract: Based on Projection Pursuit Regression Theory (PPRT), a projection pursuit regression model has been established for forecasting the peak value of blasting vibration velocity. The model is then used to predict the peak value of blasting vibration velocity in a tunnel excavation blasting in Beijing.
