Abstract:Nutrients supplied by upwelling, mixing, and inflow from adjacent oceans and terrestrial nutrient inputs are key factors regulating primary production in Arctic fjords and coastal areas. However, the contribution of terrestrial nutrient input to marine primary production remains poorly understood. Tundra biomes are highly sensitive to climate change, and vegetation responses to warming such as Arctic greening could modify terrestrial nutrient inputs to fjords and coastal areas. Here we analyze long–term measur… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
