Abstract: Diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD), the most common form of dementia, involves neuropsychological testing, limited laboratory tests and brain imaging. Current therapeutic options for AD are symptomatic treatments that target dysfunctional neurotransmitters associated with the disorder.
