Are Teachers Prepared to Educate in Citizenship?

Abstract: Education for active citizenship is a fundamental dimension of education, especially in the context of today's world. In general, the results of the present research coincide with other Spanish studies (García-Pérez, 2019, Úcar Martínez et al, 2017, Gaitán, 2015, Domenech López and Giménez Bertomeu, 2012 in highlighting that young people and adolescents generally lack positive experiences of participation during childhood and early adolescence in the different spheres in which they live (school, family, public space, social services, politics).
