Argote, Linda: Advancing Research on Organizational Learning

Abstract

The contribution of Linda Argote, the Thomas Lord Professor of Organizational Behavior and Theory at Carnegie Mellon University, to the field of organization science extends beyond her path-breaking and impactful scholarship to include her mentorship of colleagues and her leadership in building, expanding, and opening intellectual communities. In recognition of her contributions, Linda has been awarded two honorary doctorates (by Aarhus University and Universita della Svizzera Italiana), a lifetime achievement award (by INGRoup), three distinguished scholar awards (by the Strategic Management Society, the Organization and Management Theory Division of the Academy of Management, and the Technology Management Section of INFORMS), and four fellow designations (by the Academy of Management,
