“…The hydroponic solution with 100% concentration in transplant and 50% replacement when the electric condutivity decreased 50% of the initial value and 0.5 x 0.25 m spacing can be recommended for the cultivation of mint in hydroponic solution. hidropônico apresentam elevada produtividade e três a seis vezes mais óleo essencial por planta do que em sistemas convencionais de cultivo (Mairapetyan, 1999).…”

“…Next, samples of dry matter of leaves were powdered and submitted to chemical analysis, using sulfuric digestion for N and nitric-perchloric for P, K, Ca, Mg, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn. Levels of N was determined using microkjedhal method; P by spectrophotometry (600J Femto); K by flame photometry (B462 Varian) and Ca, Mg and micronutrients by atomic absorption spectrophotometry (240FS Varian), according to Malavolta et al (1997).…”

“…The regulatory mechanisms of secondary metabolites depend on genetic control which is inherent to the character of each species, but also on external stimulus promoted by the environment (Taiz & Zeiger, 2004) such as mineral nutrition which can be related to the increasing on the biosynthesis of volatiles (Mairapetyan, 1999). Thus, the evaluation of growth and development of the species cultivated with an alternative residue in addition of phosphorus could provide some subsidies for better conditions of crop and afford opportunities to increase the income of small producers of medicinal plants from the essential oil marketing.…”

“…Hydroponic techniques have been applied successfully in cultivation of herbs and medicinal plants. [6][7][8] A hydroponic system provides some advantages, such as standardization of the production process and the ease with which plants can be handled on an industrial scale.Targeting the economic use of "pataqueira", it was decided to subject the plant to a NFT (Nutrient film technique) hydroponic cultivation,9 similar to what is done with the cultivation of vegetables and to make comparative studies of plants obtained from naturally occurrence with the plants grown hydroponically. The aim of this paper is to present and discuss this comparative study.…”
