“…Arsenic trioxide has played an important role in endodontic procedures, particularly for devitalization of inflamed pulp tissue before root canal treatment. However, leakage may generate cytotoxic effects in both gingiva and bone, with severe consequences including osteomyelitis of the jaw 29,30 . Interestingly, such cytotoxic effect can be exploited for the benefit of OM‐related research by using arsenic trioxide as chemical inducer of mandible OM under controlled conditions.…”
