“…The preoperative active flexion angle, the 100鈥恜oint visual analogue scale (VAS) scores of shoulder pain at rest, during movement and at night, the Constant score of the shoulder joint and the Japan Orthopaedic Surgery Association Shoulder (JOA) score were evaluated before arthroscopy. With respect to the JOA score, 30 points were assigned to pain, 20 points to function, 30 points to range of motion (ROM), five points to radiographic findings and 15 points to joint stability, for a full mark of 100 points . During surgery, the passive flexion angle under anesthesia and the thickness and size of the cuff tears were examined by the surgeons.…”
