Underpinned by the theory of planned behaviour (TPB) and the attitude-social influence-efficacy (ASE) model, this study develops an integrative framework to unveil the key antecedents and consequences of sustainable consumption behaviour (SCB) in tourist destinations. This research applied a quantitative approach, using an online survey to gather 744 responses from Oman and India. The PLS-SEM results depicted that visitors’ sustainable consumption intention (SCI) is affected by their attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioural control. Visitors’ SCI significantly influenced SCB, which in turn, impacted their well-being. The moderating impact of perceived risk is not supported. This work is among the first attempts to develop a comprehensive model to investigate the determinants and consequences of SCB. Additionally, it broadens the scant research on SCB conducted in India and Oman.
