ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE : Tantangan Dalam Pembelajaran Kewarganegaraan

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) use in civic learning at Junior High School 2 Sentani faces significant challenges. Data bias, inadequate infrastructure and human resources, and reliance on AI must be addressed to ensure that the use of AI in education can improve learning quality without compromising civic education's core values. This study examines the challenges of artificial intelligence in civic learning at Junior High School 2 Sentani —using qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews and participatory observation in this study. The results found that AI plays an essential role in education by helping teachers create test questions, assess student assignments quickly and accurately, and provide personalized feedback, thus improving efficiency and objectivity. The conclusion that can be drawn is that using artificial intelligence (AI) in civic learning at Junior High School 2 Sentani can enhance the efficiency and personalization of education but cannot replace the vital role of teachers. Teachers remain essential in providing guidance, building interpersonal relationships, and providing emotional support that AI cannot provide.
