Artistas contemporáneos y arte comunitario y relacional en el aula de primaria. Un proyecto de investigación-acción en educación artística

Abstract

The objective of this doctoral thesis is evaluating the development of a new personal methodology that has been called +ACʌ, which is committed to a contemporary artistic education. It is intended to evaluate and value the teaching process implemented in order to face the challenge of achieving a more up-to-date and contemporary Artistic Education. The methodology is a proposal based on working with artistic manifestations of contemporaneity and with artists or active collectives with whom you have the possibility of contacting. This educational model is based on a community and relational approach that is implemented with a new work process, both for the teacher and for the students.The research is carried out from a qualitative approach, since it employs action research, and is influenced by assumptions of an artistic approach, when managing the Artistic Research Methodology. The study has been carried out during the school years 2011/12, 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18 and is contextualized in a rural educational center in the province of Segovia.The results of this study reveal that the implementation of the new +ACʌ model is effective in the teaching-learning process with primary education students, since the use of the +ACʌ methodology in Art lessons has generated numerous advantages: this research highlights the learning of students in relation to cultural and artistic competence.
