Abstract:This report describes a plan to qualify laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) 316 stainless steel for use with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section III, Division 5 rules for metallic components in high temperature nuclear reactors.
