Aspects of Contraception and Reproductive Health in Obese Adolescent Girls

Abstract: Unintended pregnancies are a serious problem in terms of morbidity during the adolescent years, the use of contraceptives being an important element of prevention at this age. Obese adolescent girls tend to use fewer contraceptive methods compared to normal-weight girls, excess weight being a frequent argument against the use of contraception.
