Aspects of cultivar variation in physiological traits related to Cd distribution in rice plants with a short-term stress

Abstract: Background Genotypic variations are seen in cadmium (Cd) tolerance and accumulation in rice plants. Cultivars that show low Cd translocation from the root into shoot can be selected to reduce Cd contamination in rice grains.
