“…The amount and distribution of total rainfall in wet days (PRCPTOT), especially during the pre-monsoon, influence the water levels in the seasonal haor lakes. Subsequently, the increasing trend of pre-monsoon rainfall and decreasing trend of consecutive dry days in the eastern regions of the country may help to increase soil moisture contents as well as Boro rice productivity [6].
