Assessing financial factors for oil supply disruptions and its impact on oil supply security and transportation risks

Abstract: The evaluation of energy security offers a standard for policy research and highlights the problems of securing the energy supply. A composite index for analyzing the risk of Southeast Asian nations’ oil supply is developed in this study. Indicators used to calculate the index include the import-to-LGE ratio, GPR, market liquidity, gross domestic product, the import-to-consumption ratio, heterogeneity, oil price volatility, US$ volatility, and transportation risk.
