“…The second goal of our study explored whether calculating alternate scores that systematically removed items from the attention and language sections and the delayed recall task on the standard MoCA and the HI‐MoCA yielded comparable results and provided insight into whether modality of presentation influenced performance on these items. Consistent with previous findings, CI users scored significantly higher on the standard MoCA and HI‐MoCA when the delayed recall task was removed and when all of the items (ie, items from the attention and language sections and the delayed recall task) were removed.
