Abstract: Background Perioperative peri-implant fractures (PPIFs) pose infrequent yet significant challenges in orthopedic surgery, particularly in the context of femoral pertrochanteric fractures (FPF) treated with proximal femoral nail antirotation 2 (PFNA-2) nails.
