Assessing the impact of governance and health expenditures on carbon emissions in China: Role of environmental regulation

Abstract: The current study tries to summarize the leading factors and their behavior toward the environmental quality. Therefore, this study investigates the environment-development linkage in China's economy covering the period of 1984–2018. In order to investigate the proposed objectives, the current study uses the dynamic ordinary least square, fully modified ordinary least square and canonical co-integration regression with granger causality test. The results reveal that there exists an inverted U-shaped relationsh… Show more

“…• Decarbonization collectively describes measures to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) generated in logistics operations and shift towards climate neutrality [96,97]. This trend has a high impact because the problem of high emissions is particularly relevant for logistics [44], which in supply chains accounts for 60% of global emissions [98]. Surprisingly, this trend has been placed in the social and business areas of Figure 1, whereas actions including aiming for lower energy consumption during transport and the introduction of low-carbon power sources are technological [99].…”

“…An in-depth look at the European Union context uncovers complexities such as varied power standards [35,37,38], locationspecific emissions [39,40], and the meticulous task of route planning based on available infrastructure and workforce [10,41]. Additionally, with the emergence of technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), there is a notable emphasis on process automation, including the vital aspects of planning [11,42], strategy, and decision-making [34,43,44]. This evolving landscape provides businesses with the opportunity to focus on the systematic interconnections between individual components, fostering a more unified and integrated approach [45][46][47].…”

“…EVs can communicate between each other and also charging stations, and create the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) [33,34]. There are also different law regulations and economic and social factors worldwide [35,36], which influence electromobility popularity expressed as the growing number of electric car users [37,38]. The existing literature reviews [39,40] suggest that there is still a research gap related to the technical dimensions [41,42] of electromobility development [43,44].…”
