Assessing the influence of Environmental and CEO Characteristics for Adoption of Information Technology in Organizations

Abstract: Information System literature has identified several factors that impact the adoption and implementation of IT. This study presents a meta-analysis of the findings of past literature on IT adoption to verify the significance of competitive pressure, government support, external pressure, CEO attitude, manager's tenure, CEO innovativeness and CEO IT knowledge in the adoption of IT in organizations.
