Abstract

The HCR-20 is a suitable instrument for predicting violence risk in Mexican psychiatric inpatients.

Predictive Validity of the HCR-20V3 With Incarcerated Males in Mexico City

“…These findings support the predictive validity of the HCR-20 V3 when used with males in Mexico City. Moreover, predictive validity estimates generated in this study were significantly higher than those identified in Argentina (AUC = .62; Folino, 2015) and roughly comparable (based on overlapping confidence intervals) with those obtained by Sada et al (2016), although the latter included a wide range of aggressive behaviors (including verbal aggression, aggression against self, and aggression toward property) and a very short follow-up interval (an average of 24 days) in their study of Mexican psychiatric inpatients.…”
