It was lower than other Nigerian studies which ranged from 20% to 60% (Adesola et al, 2014;Oladoyinbo & Ekerette, 2015;Agwu et al, 2017;The GBD 2015Obesity Collaborators, 2017Sedodo et al, 2020;Kayode & Alabi, 2020) and other countries in Africa (Moussa et al, 2016;Niba et al, 2017), Asia (Davar, 2015), America (Katuka et al, 2016;Deng et al, 2017) and Europe (Sofia et al, 2015).
