Abstract:Textures of medium carbon steel, hot rolled and then quenched, have been determined by Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). To ensure representativeness of results, a rather large treated scan covered about a thousand of prior grains, each containing several thousands of measurement points. Considering inter-phase orientation relationships peculiar to martensitic steels, textures of the high temperature phase (austenite) have been assessed in terms of the transformation textures. Thus, deformed and recryst… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
