Assessment of former austenite structure in hot rolled steel in terms of its texture after martensitic transformation

Abstract: Textures of medium carbon steel, hot rolled and then quenched, have been determined by Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). To ensure representativeness of results, a rather large treated scan covered about a thousand of prior grains, each containing several thousands of measurement points.
