Abstract:By means of clinical, endoscopic, manometric and pH metric studies, the incidence of gastroesophageal reflux in 30 patients with achalasia of the cardia was evaluated at least 5 years after undergoing surgical treatment using Heller’s myotomy associated with a 270° posterior partial fundoplication.
