Assessment of Gips Technique for Management of Pilonidal Disease

Abstract: Background: Pilonidal sinus disease (PSD) is currently viewed as an acquired condition that develops abscesses and typically several fistula tracts because of a continuous inflammatory response to the retention of hair follicles in the intergluteal gap. Objectives: The aim of the current work was to evaluate the outcomes of Gips technique for management of pilonidal disease (PD) using minimally invasive surgery and following the impact of this procedure on the patients.
