Abstract:Assessment of human parvovirus B19 infection in Egyptian hemodialysis patientsIn the Discussion section of Mohammad et al., 1 the authors incorrectly noted: "we did not find significant relationships of the presence of B19 viremia with WBCs, HB, HCT, platelets, and RBCs in B19V-positive patients and in the control group." Each of these five laboratory values were in fact significantly different in B19-positive vs. B19-negative patients, with p values ranging from 0.025 to 0.045, as correctly shown in Table 6.
