Assessment of implementation modalities of the anchor borrowers’ programme in Nigeria

Abstract: To avoid the moribund path of most of the earlier implemented agricultural-based development projects and programmes, this article reviewed the implementation modalities of the Anchor Borrowers' programme while making useful suggestions for effective and sustainable results-based implementation. The increase was as a result of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)'s Anchor Borrowers Program with a total of 12 million rice producers and four million hectares of FADAMA rice land [2].
