Assessment of long-term tending in mixed stands of spruce, fir and beech on research plot Korytnica

Abstract: The paper deals with problems of thinnings in a mixed stand (spruce-fir-beech) situated in the sixth altitudinal forest zone. Three of the five investigated plots were tended by free crown thinning for a long time, and two were left without any planned silvicultural treatments as control.
