Abstract: Objective: To assess the plasma MPO and cTnI levels in patients with cardiac chest pain of 4-6 hours duration. As cardiac troponins rise late almost 6-8 hours after the onset of myocardial infarction, another marker is needed to make earlier diagnosis and in those where ECG findings are nonspecific.
