Assessment of Quality of Life and Safety in Postmenopausal Breast Cancer Patients Receiving Letrozole as an Early Adjuvant Treatment

Abstract: PurposeThere are few reports from Asian countries about the long-term results of aromatase inhibitor adjuvant treatment for breast cancer. This observational study aimed to evaluate the long-term effects of letrozole in postmenopausal Korean women with operable breast cancer.MethodsSelf-reported quality of life (QoL) scores were serially assessed for 3 years during adjuvant letrozole treatment using the Korean version of the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast questionnaires (version 3). Changes in … Show more

“…BSCF has a moderate surface oxygen interaction energy, which causes it to be neither weak nor strong in the adsorption of O 2 ; thus, it is located at the top of the volcano plot with the σ * -orbital (e. g . lling) value ≈ 1.2 [20]. Pseudocubic PBCO, comprising rich oxygen vacancies concentrated in the Pr plane, forms because of the considerable difference in the ionic radius and polarizability between praseodymium and barium atoms [10].…”

“…The incidence and mortality of BC malignant tumor are increasing year by year. The TNBC tumor type has a poor prognosis, difficult treatment, poor long-term efficacy, which negatively impacts the quality of life of patients (30,31). This study investigated the effect of apatinib which selectively acts on VEGFR-2 apoptosis of TNBC based on the PI3K/p65/Bcl-xl molecular pathway.…”

“… 1 , 2 Early-stage breast cancer accounts for more than 80% of all breast cancer, and 68% of breast cancer diagnoses are hormone receptor-positive (HR+), with approximately two-thirds being postmenopausal women. 3 , 4 For decades, 5 year tamoxifen has been regarded as the gold standard for adjuvant endocrine therapy for early breast cancer. 5 Compared with tamoxifen, the third-generation aromatase inhibitors (AIs) have been shown to significantly improve disease-free survival (DFS) and reduce the risk of recurrence of contralateral breast cancer among postmenopausal women with HR+ breast cancer.…”
