Abstract:Saxagliptin hydrochloride is an oral hypoglycemic agent used for treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Saxagliptin is unstable because it undergoes an intra-molecular cyclisation reaction to form a cyclicamidine in both solution and solid states.
