Assessment of Technology Transfer Office Performance for Value Creation in Higher Education Institutions

Abstract: Innovative activities, knowledge exchange, patenting and commercialization of know-how are crucial to the value creation process in higher education institutions and other research organizations. The article analyses the technology transfer performance indicators of value creation. The methodology to identify and assess the technology transfer activities with the highest impact on created value are proposed in the paper. The following research methods were invoked: FARE method, allowed to calculate weights of … Show more

“…This research is aimed to investigate the human values of high school students according to some variables (gender and physics achievement). In the related literature, there are many researches, which have investigated the human values in term of different variables (Hansson et al, 2010;Johansson, 2017;Karababa et al, 2018;Keng, Jung, Jiuan, & Wirtz, 2000;Murray, 2018;Saini, 2016;Sanderse, 2016;Stankevičienė, Kraujalienė, & Vaiciukevičiūtė, 2017;Winter et al, 1998;Yiğit & Dilmaç, 2011). However, there is not any one that investigated the effect of human values on the success of the students.…”

“…erefore, the fuzzy extension of the FARE method, performed by Roy et al [29], was used in the paper. e FARE method has found wide application in the literature and has so far been used, either alone or in a combination with other methods, either in conventional form or in the fuzzy environment, in various areas for evaluation and selection of 3PL providers [29], selection of production materials [30], evaluation of mechanical processes [27], evaluation of the impact of technology transfer on the value creation [31], selection of political candidates [5], evaluation of visibility in freight vehicles [32], etc.…”

“…The distance between the evaluated plan and the PIS is then calculated. The advantage of this method is that it enables the priorities of the evaluated plans to be determined according to their relative distance from the ideal solution, thereby avoiding the problem of incomparability between plans that are either equally close to the PIS or distant from the NIS (Stankevičienė, Kraujalienė, & Vaiciukevičiūtė, 2017;Gavurova, Belas, Kocisova, & Kliestik, 2017). A solution can be obtained using the following steps (Lin & Cho, 2018).…”
