Assessment of the Biodiversity of Samples Used for Isolation of Microbial Strains Capable of Converting Straw Destined as a Substrate for Biogas Plant

Abstract: Despite the large potential of straw as a substrate for biogas production, its use is marginal at present. This is mainly due to the structure of materials of that type, where cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin prevail [Mussato and Teixeira, 2004; Adapa et al., 2009; Chaturvedi and Verma, 2013].
