Assessment of the effect of suture material on the bacterial contamination of trachea

Abstract: The work is devoted to assessment of bacterial contamination of trachea after circular resection with the following tracheo-tracheal anastomosis in Wistar rats. The formation of tracheo-tracheal anastomosis with the use of a monofilament, not resorptive suture material after circular resection of trachea is accompanied by the microbial growth in 83.4% of cases.
