Assessment of the Possibility of Manganese Disposal from Groundwater with Electric Discharge Methods

Abstract

Research outputs concerning determination of manganese content in the Tomsk Oblast and Khanty-Mansy Autonomous District fresh groundwater used as drinking water are presented. Schemes of manganese distribution in the boundaries of the territory to be researched have been compiled. It has been found that groundwater needs the manganese concentration reduction to the normative requirements. Assessment of the possibility of manganese disposal from waters with electric discharge methods has been carried out and effectiveness of such methods has been demonstrated.
