Abstract:Background
The amount of thrombin generated reflects the endogenous thrombin potential (ETP), which depends on the balance of pro‐ and anticoagulant factors. The calibrated automated thrombogram (CAT) allows for the direct measurement of thrombin generation during the clotting process.
